RBI ने 31 जनवरी 2024 को Paytm पेमेंट्स बैंक पर नये ग्राहकों को जोड़ने पर रोक लगा दी। इसके बाद 1 फरवरी 2024 को RBI ने बैंक पर जमा, निकासी, UPI, बिल भुगतान, फास्टैग टॉप-अप जैसी सभी सेवाओं पर रोक लगा दी।

क्यों हुआ?

RBI ने यह कार्रवाई बैंक द्वारा डेटा गवर्नेंस नियमों का उल्लंघन करने के कारण की।

इसका क्या असर होगा?

  • Paytm पेमेंट्स बैंक नए ग्राहकों को नहीं जोड़ पाएगा।
  • मौजूदा ग्राहक जमा, निकासी, UPI, बिल भुगतान, फास्टैग टॉप-अप जैसी सेवाओं का उपयोग नहीं कर पाएंगे।
  • Paytm के शेयरों में गिरावट आई है।
  • डिजिटल भुगतान में गिरावट आ सकती है।
