पहिल्यांदाच ‘नेटफ्लिक्स’ने भारतीय बाजारपेठेत 20-60 टक्क्यांनी आपले प्लॅन स्वस्त केले होते. नेटफ्लिक्सने जारी केलेल्या निवेदनात म्हटले आहे की, “आमच्या जाहिरातीआधारीत सब्सक्रिप्शन प्लाननंतर ग्राहकांची संख्या अपेक्षेहून अधिक वाढली आहे. अपेक्षेप्रमाणे, आम्ही आमच्या मानक आणि प्रीमियम प्लॅनमधून लक्षणीयरीत्या कमी स्विच केलेले पाहिले आहे. नेटफ्लिक्सने कोणत्या 116 देशांमध्ये सब्सक्रिप्शन दरात घट केलीय, याची माहिती समोर आली नाही.
पहिल्या तिमाहीत 17 लाख नवीन ग्राहक मिळाले
नेटफ्लिक्स या दीर्घकाळापासून तोट्यात चाललेल्या व्हिडिओ स्ट्रीमिंग प्लॅटफॉर्मला यावेळी फायदा झाला असल्याचे चित्र आहे. 2023 च्या पहिल्या तिमाहीत नेटफ्लिक्सच्या ग्राहकांच्या संख्येत वाढ झाली आहे. नेटफ्लिक्सला पहिल्या तिमाहीत सुमारे 17 लाख नवीन ग्राहक मिळाले आहेत. नेटफ्लिक्सने पासवर्ड शेअरिंग बंद केल्यावर हा फायदा झाला आहे. याशिवाय नेटफ्लिक्सला जाहिरात आधारित सबस्क्रिप्शन मॉडेलचाही लाभ मिळाला आहे.
जानेवारी 2023 ते मार्च पर्यंत, नेटफ्लिक्सने प्रति शेअर 2.88 डॉलर म्हणजेच जवळपास 236 कमावले आहेत. या दरम्यान Netflix चा एकूण महसूल 8.162 अब्ज डॉलर म्हणजेच जवळपास 670 कोटी इतका झाला आहे.
दुसऱ्या तिमाहीत Netflix ची कमाई 8.242 अब्ज डॉलर किंवा सुमारे 676 कोटी एवढी आहे. ‘वॉल स्ट्रीट’च्या मते, दुसऱ्या तिमाहीत नेटफ्लिक्सची कमाई 8.476 अब्ज डॉलर किंवा सुमारे 696 कोटी असू शकते.
