Food Coma :  बहुतांश लोक दुपारी जेवण केल्यानंतर गोड झोप घेतात. पण तुम्हाला नेहमीच दुपारी झोप येत असेल, तर ही चांगली लक्षणे नाहीत. तुमच्यात जर अशी लक्षणे दिसून आली, तर पोस्टप्रांडियल सोमनोलेंस (Postprandial Somnolence) सारखा आजार असू शकतो. याला सर्वसामान्य भाषेत फूड कोमा (Food Coma) असं म्हणतात. परंतु,  तुम्हाला दुपारी जेवण केल्यानंतर झोप येण्यामागील कारणे माहिती आहेत का? याबद्दल सविस्तर जाणून घेऊया..

जेवण केल्यानंतर झोप का लागते?

तुम्हाला दुपारचं जेवल्यानंतर झोप लागणं, आळस येणं,  कामात मन न लागणं, थकवा आणि सुस्ती येत असेल, तर या समस्येला पोस्टप्रांडियल सोमनोलेंस असं म्हटलं जातं. यामध्ये दुपारी जेवण केल्यानंतर ब्लड सर्क्युलेशनमध्ये बदल झाल्यामुळे ही समस्या निर्माण होते. ज्या लोकांना सकाळी जेवण करायची सवय नसेल, तर दुपारी जेवण केल्यानंतर त्यांच ब्लड सर्क्युलेशन अर्थात रक्ताभिसरण संस्था मंद होते. या कारणामुळे तुम्हाला सुस्ती येते आणि झोप लागते. अशा अवस्थेत काही लोकांना तर कित्येक तासापर्यंत जांभया येऊ शकतात.

जेवण केल्यामुळे स्लीप हार्मोन्सवर होतो परिणाम

दुपारी जेवल्यामुळे काही लोकांच्या स्लीप हार्मोन्सवर परिणाम होतो आणि पचनसंस्थेत अनेक प्रकारची न्यूरोट्रान्समीटर रिलीज होतात. यामुळे थकवा आणि झोप येऊ शकते. यावर काही संशोधनातून असं आढळून आलं की, ही समस्या 2 ते 4 तासापर्यंत राहू शकते. काही लोकांत तर एका तासांमध्येच समस्याचं संपते. यामध्ये प्रत्येक व्यक्तीनुसार वेगवेगळी समस्या असू शकते.

फूड कोमा धोकादायक आजार आहे का?

दुपारी जेवल्यानंतर 4 तासापर्यंत पोस्टप्रांडियल सोमनोलेंससारखं वाटू शकतं. पण फूड कोमा धोकादायक आहे किंवा नाही, यावर आतापर्यंत कोणतंही संशोधन करण्यात आलेलं नाही. काही बाबतीत जेवण केल्यानंतर थकवा येण्यामागे डायबेटीजची लक्षणे असू शकतात. त्यामुळे सर्वांनाच फूड कोमाचा आजार आहे, असा गैरसमज करून घ्यायची गरज नाही. अर्थात, याबाबतीत ज्यांनी वयाची पन्नाशी पार केली आहे त्यांनी जास्त काळजी घ्याला हवी.

 अशी घ्या पोस्टप्रांडियल सोमनोलेंसपासून स्वत:ची काळजी?

1. दुपारी हलकं आणि साधं जेवण करा.

2. जेवल्यानंतर लगेच पाणी पिण्याचं टाळा. शक्यतोवर अर्ध्या तासांनतरच पाणी प्या.

3. तुम्ही जेल्यानंतर काही मिनिटे पायी चालण्याचा सराव करा.

4. रात्रीच्या वेळी कमीत कमी सात तासांची आवर्जून झोप घ्या.
