अखेर तो दिवस आला अन् होत्याचं नव्हतं झालं…
‘Blue Tick म्हणजे काय रं भाऊ?’ असं कोणाला प्रश्न पडणार नाही. मात्र तरी कोणी विचारलंच तर एका फटक्यात् आजवर कोणीही उत्तर देईल ‘Celebrity लोकांच्या नावापुढे जो निळी खून असते त्याला Blue Tick म्हणतात’
थोडक्यात काय तर, एखाद्या युजरचं सोशल मीडिया वरचं खातं हे व्हेरिफाईड म्हणजेच अधिकृत आहे असं आपण म्हणतो, व्हेरिफाईड म्हणजे काय तर समजा तुमच्या आवडत्या मिथिला पालकरचं खरं सोशल मीडियावरचं खातं कोणतं हे शोधायचं असेल तर तुम्ही तिच्या डिट्टो-सेम टू सेम असलेल्या हजारो Accounts मधून ज्याला Blue Tick आहे असं तिचं प्रोफाइल दिसलं की तुम्ही समजायचं ते खरंय…
हल्ली काही रिकामटेकडे एखाद्या व्यक्तिचं अगदी सेम टू सेम एकदम क्लोन प्रोफाइल तयार करतात, ते फेक प्रोफाइल एवढे तंतोतंत सारखे असतात की भले भले फसतात…अशा सोशल मीडियावरील प्रोफाइलच्या आडून ना ना प्रकारचे उद्योग ही बहाद्दर लोकं करत असतात, सायबर गुन्हेगारी आपल्या ब्लॉगचा विषय नाहीये त्यात आपल्याला पडायचं नाहीये…
मात्र मुद्दा असा आहे की, तुम्हाला तुमचं प्रोफाइल व्हेरिफाईड करायचंय तर कसं करायचं यासाठी Twitter ने आजवर कलाकार,पत्रकार,सरकारी कार्यालय, सरकारी बाबू, संस्था अशा काही वेगवेगळ्या कॅटेगरी मध्ये असलेल्या युजर्सना त्यांनी ठरवलेल्या व्हेरिफिकेशन साठी असलेल्या बाबींची पूर्तता केली की हे Blue Tick तुम्हाला मिळायचं किंवा तुम्हाला ते दिलं जायचं… असंच मलाही ट्विटरचं ब्लू टिक ते मिळालं होतं, त्या आनंदाच्या भरात माझी एक दिवसभर झोप उडाली होती. मात्र जसजसे दिवस गेले तसतसे मात्र आपलं आयुष्य फार काही बदललंय किंवा अचाट बदल झालेत असं काहीच झालं नाही. शे पाचशे फॉलोअर्स वाढले… त्यापलीकडे माझ्यावर जळणाऱ्या लोकांची थोडीफार संख्या वाढली असेल. हे सोडलं तर विशेष काही नाही झालं.. असो,
मात्र अवकाळी पाऊस कोसळतो तासच टेस्ला चा मालक एलॉन मस्क ट्विटरवर टपकतो, 21 डिसेंबर 2017 ला एक ट्विट टाकतो ‘I LOVE TWITTER..’ यावर त्याला एक हास्यकलाकार रिप्लाय देतो की, ‘एलॉन तुला ट्विटर आवडतं तर तु विकत घे..’ आणि खरोखरच काही वर्षात एलॉन ट्विटर 44 बिलियन डॉलर ला ट्विटर विकत घेतलंच. पैसा टाकून एखादं समाजमाध्यम विकत घेता आलं तर तो म्हणेल ती पूर्व दिशा, हे होणारच म्हणून सगळीकडून विरोध झाला…
ओपन समाजमाध्यमाचा एक मालक आता आलाय आणि त्याला वाटेल तसं तो हे माध्यम वापरणार याची चिंता सगळ्यांना वाटू लागली.
ट्विटर हे सर्वात प्रभावी माध्यम आहे म्हणून पाहिलं जातं… इथं कोणीही जे वाट्टेल ते व्यक्त होऊ शकतो, त्याचा बिजनेस वाढवू शकतो, काहीही करू शकतो.. अगदी स्वातंत्र्याच्या अधिकारानुसारच जणू…मात्र एलॉन मालकी हक्क घेतल्या बरोबरच वाट्टेल ते करू लागतो, नियम काय बदलतो? ट्विटरच्या चिमणीचं कुत्रं काय करतो, पूर्वी खोडसाळ उपद्रवी ठरवली गेलेल्या लोकांचे ब्लॉक केलेले Account पुन्हा सुरू करतो असा भलताच राडा या एलॉन ने घातला…
एलॉन च्या डोक्यात नेमकं काय शिजतंय हे कोणालाच कळणं मुश्किल होतं! अचानकपणे त्याने नवीन घोषणा केली कोणालाही ट्विटर च्या Exclusive सेवांचा लाभ घ्यायचा असेल तर महिना 900 रुपये द्या.. त्यात मिळेल ट्विटरचं मुख्य आकर्षण ‘Blue Tick’, वाढवलेली शब्द मर्यादा, ट्विटचं एडिट बटन आणि बरंच काही… ही घोषणा एलॉनने करताच, ज्यांना ज्यांना Blue tick चं आकर्षण होतं त्या सगळ्या लोकांना 900 रुपये भरून व्हेरिफाईड प्रोफाईल करण्याची संधी मिळाली…मग आता काय झालं तर.. उदाहरणार्थ मिथिला पालकरच्या नावाने खोटं प्रोफाइल काढून त्यावर 900 रुपये भरले आणि Blue Tick घेतलं तर कित्येक लोकांना कळणार नाही की खरी मिथिला कोण आहे… काहींना वाटेल या प्रोफाइलला ब्लू टिक आहे तर तेच खरं आहे! आहे की नाही गम्मत!
पैश्याच्या बदल्यात या Exclusive सोयीचा लाभ कोणालाही दिला तर एलॉन ने जे 44 बिलियन डॉलर खर्च केलेत त्यावर प्रॉफिट मिळेल अशी शक्कल लढवली असेल असे काहींना वाटतं. मात्र तो मालक आहे त्याला विरोध करणारे आपण कोण हा ही प्रश्न उभा राहतो! इथं भिजत घोंगडं राहील होतं ते आधीपासूनच असलेल्या व्हेरिफाईड लोकांचं काय करायचं? ट्विटर ने टप्प्यात कार्यक्रम केला आणि सगळ्यांचं ब्लू टिक उडवलं आणि बोंबाबोंब सुरू झाली!
सहाजिकच ट्विटर वर ब्लू टिक ज्या मेहनतीने मिळालेलं होतं, त्यासाठीचा आनंद हा न भूतो न भविष्यती होता, जग जिंकलं आणि काहीतरी वेगळं पण असल्याचं फिलिंग येते हे मी अनुभवलं आहे! ब्लू टिक विकत घेऊन मिळवणाऱ्या लोकांचं कसलही कौतुक नेटिझन्स करणार नाहीत. कारण विकत घेऊन मिळवलेल्या गोष्टींचं अप्रूप कोणालाही नसेल. मेहनतीने मिळालेले ब्लू टिक घेऊन मिरवण्यात एक वेगळी मजा होती. खरंच ते दिवस कमाल होते… मात्र या होणाऱ्या बदलाची तेव्हा कल्पना नव्हती…
हल्ली Open AI ने तुमचं सगळं जगणचं विकतचे करून टाकलंय…फक्त AI चे Prompt म्हणजे थोडक्यात तुमचे विचार असो मात्र अजूनतरी तुमचे आहेत, उद्या ते ही विकले जातीलच…फक्त या विश्वात गुदमरलेल्या लोकांचा उरला सुरला ‘श्वास’ अजूनही फुकट आहे, यातच ती धन्यता, बाकी सुपारी देऊन जीव सुद्धा घेतले जातात त्या जगाकडून कसल्या अपेक्षा ठेवायच्या?
शेजाच्याने घरात नवा फ्रीज घेतला म्हणून आपणही घ्यावा, हा प्रकार ट्विटरवर देखील पाहायला मिळेलच.. मात्र आपण Exclusive आहोत हे पैसे भरून दाखवण्याच्या नादात राहण्यापेक्षा आता खरी वेळ आलीय आभासी दुनियेपलीकडं असलेल्या वास्तविक आयुष्यावर पैशापलीकडच्या सुखाची मोहोर उमटवायची!
